Site Safe
Project Background
Site Safe is membership-based, not-for-profit organisation that provides services catering to the entire construction and related industries. They have a nationwide team of health and safety professionals who offer safety systems, training, consultancy, audits, resources, information to over 60,000 learners each year. This research project was commissioned by Site Safe to focus specifically on their training programmes in order to determine whether the current pedagogy and practices are still appropriate for the industry and to receive external advice as to how the programmes may be improved.
What we did
The evidence was collected via observations, interviews, analysis of course evaluations and a purpose made industry survey that reached over 700 participants. We worked alongside the Site Safe development team to ensure that the research captured the context in which the training was designed and delivered.
Outcome
The findings from this report have been used to support the continuous improvement and programme development at Site Safe, and our relationship with them is ongoing, providing research advice and mentoring to staff in order to build internal capability.
